Unique. Authentic. Delicious. I'm going to keep this review brief. My experience will not be your experience. Dinner is different every night. The seafood is super fresh, and the atmosphere takes me back to a ramen shop in a Tokyo alley. Obviously it's elevated. The quality of fish is outstanding, and the chefs are careful and meticulous. If you want a genuine omakase experience in Las Vegas, this is the spot. If you want rolls filled with cream cheese? Head elsewhere.
First visit last night with my husband (from Chicago) after we were recommended this place by another Chicagoan and had the BEST omakase experience! The minimalistic/ simplicity theme gave a very clean, elegant yet comfortable atmosphere and we loved it! From the moment we walked in till the last step out the restaurant the staffs took great care of us with their exceptional service. The traditional, authentic style of service that made us feel like we were in Japan again. The way they greeted us, the way they sushi chefs/kitchen chefs presented their food, and the way the staffs delivered their food to us with detailed explanation of what each dishes are. We had the Omakase with 8 courses $175 each and it was definitely worth it . I added the "sake pairing" for $68 with the course which I'm glad I did! I was able to try 6 different sake along with the course; 1 with each course and 2 different ones throughout the first half and second half of "Nigiri Premium Selection." All in all, the experience was amazing and we will definitely return when visiting Las Vegas again For anyone interested in authentic Japanese food and culture, this place is hands down the best place!! Thank you to the chefs and staffs for an incredible experience!
I had an amazing experience at Kabuto. But then again.. Who doesn't ?!?!?!? Booked this because I had no closure with my sushi craving the day before, since I had a really bad experience at a different place. I love Kabuto so why not! I know that I should not compare the other place for obvious reasons, but I just rlly wanted to satisfy my sushi craving. Booked for the 8 course Kabuto for $175/pp. From start to finish, it was phenomenal. We thought we needed to order more at the end, but by the time the 2nd flight of nigiri was on our table.. We were STUFFFFED (with such yummy food ofc). Our server was kind enough to request for less rice for our handrolls. We didn't want to not finish it, so it really helped. I can't even pick a favorite.. The fish was so soft, tender and buttery. It was a dream. :) Everything was executed so perfectly. The dessert and green tea finish were excellent. It was a quiet night when we went and I love everything about this place.
One of the best omakase experiences ! Great time with friends at this place while visiting from out of town. Service was top notch. Appreciate Yumi for hosting us. Food was very Michelin star worthy. Highlights including uni, miso bass, steamed egg, toro. Overall the quality was amazing. Paired with sake, really brought out the umami of the entire course. Highly recommend for anyone that love sushi. If not already this place deserves a star.
Always wanted to try this omakase spot for awhile now and I decided to try it for my boyfriends birthday. We've been to a couple omakase spots, but I've always known this restaurant to be one of the first here in Vegas plus it was reasonably priced as well! I was very lucky to get a reservation on a Sunday night at the bar. Can't do an omakase without sitting at the bar in my opinion! Upon walking into the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by the servers and even the chefs. This place is small and usually that's how omakase experiences are. It's intimate and the chefs talk to you as well. We decided to do the 175 per person experience since we've never been here before and man, we were really full by the end of the meal. The chefs prepared 12 different types of their highest grade nigiris along with the hot and cold appetizers. Very impressed with how lard the menu is. Plus they also do sake pairing for an additional 68 bucks on top of that which is a good price! The quality of the fish was amazing, the appetizers were amazing, and the experience.. A+!!! The workers here pay close attention to detail with everything and I'm all for it. This place will be our go to omakase spot and next time we will be trying the sake pairing with it.
This is hands down the best omakase experience I've ever had. Don't judge a book by its cover. It is located in an unassuming shopping complex and has a very small sign in the front but the food and experience is one of a kind. It consists of an 8 course omakase meal that is set at $175 per person. It was so worth it. high quality good food but so much I couldn't even finish everything. Make sure you do reservations in advance because they DO NOT take walk ins. The food presentation was all very well thought out and beautiful. Our waitress was very friendly and did an amazing job explaining everything. Avoid the strip and check this place out of if you're looking for good sushi.
Finally back! Just as good as it was the first time. Stunning sushi pieces that were so rich and perfectly cut. Delicious green tea ice cream with tons of flavor at the end. The staff are so kind and so friendly. Surprising there isn't a fight for a slot!
Wow, I had a friend that came to visit from Israel, so we booked it a month in advance. I think I'm comfortable saying it was one of my best Japanese experiences I've had. We had omakase, and it was absolutely delicious Definitely recommend to anyone who want to feel like he's visiting Japan for couple of hours while being in Vegas
Kabuki is one of my favourite sushi places in Las Vegas. I mean the best sushi place. Always taking care of customers, so services are amazing. The ambience is a little bit compact structure inside but it's elegant and calm. Taste is faultless! You must try once and I'm sure you won't regret.
Almost 12 years later I returned to Kabuto! Eric R. has been busy with conference meals and I decided to have myself a "splurge" meal while here and am still celebrating my recent promotion. I opted for the Kabuto omakase $175 per person. When I arrived, I was seated at the cedar bar. I was the only person with the Kabuto meal; all other diners at the bar got the Yosoi which is also a beautiful meal, $120 per person. I was seated between a solo diner who had very similar tastes in food to me so it was fun to chat with her, and another person who lives in one of my favorite cities and has similar fitness interests to me! I enjoyed the company of these diners! I tried to take pictures of everything I ate and was convinced I did, but I found that two pieces of my nigiri course (ma-aji and gyoku) were not in my photos, apologies! I ordered an Asahi on draft and iced green tea for drinks. My meal began with assorted appetizers: 1. buri king yellowtail wrapped around kaiware sprouts on wakame with yuzu dressing and caviar 2. trout pieces with ogo Hawaian seaweed and sea urchin sauce 3. seasonal fire fly baby squid with rice cracker pieces My warm dish was black cod in a soy milk sauce with micro shiso. The sashimi course included ocean trout served with wasabi, kumamoto oyster with ponzu and spicy grated radish, and katsuo (bonito) served with grated ginger. My seasonal grill dish was shrimp (both a body/tail piece and a head piece) with shiitake mushroom in teriyaki sauce with baby ginger to cleanse the palate. The nigiri premium selection included: 1. Kinmedai (golden big eye) 2. Isaki (three line grunt) 3. Akami (lean tuna) 4. Akaebi (velvet shrimp) 5. Ma-aji (jack mackerel) 6. Ikura cured in house and Japanese uni 7. Hokkaido scallop 8. Kanpachi (amberjack) 9. Kamashita (marbled fatty tuna) 10. Akamutsu (red sea perch) 11. Gyoku (sweet omelette) I had never eaten isaki or akamutsu before, and these were really good! I also loved the ma-aji as I am a mackerel fan the taste was outstanding (that difficult balance of delicate and flavorful). At this point, I was offered the opportunity to order more pieces. I knew I had a lot of food to eat still, so I chose to only order mentaiko, which is usually my favorite onigiri filling. It was torched and placed in a mini temaki for serving. My next course was a negitoro handroll. Who does not love fatty tuna with green onions?! Next I had a choice of miso soup with asari (Manila clams) or nameko mushrooms. I went for the clam version since I make miso with nameko at home. The soup was very flavorful and the clams were delicious! My last course was a dessert trio: delicate mochi filled with anko (red bean paste) and topped with cinnamon kinako, yuzu sorbet, and green tea cheesecake. It was served with a cup of hot green tea. Everything was perfect. The chefs were so kind, the service was impeccable, and I received regular refills of iced green tea. For the entire experience including food, service, and ambiance, the price is incredibly reasonable. I was at Sushi Nakazawa in Washington, DC three months ago and spent twice as much for a similar meal (though it was also incredible, see my review). Thus, I would aim for Kabuto for omakase for a very special, enjoyable experience! Itadakimasu!
